WARSAW, May 8 - The following are news stories, press reports and events that may affect Poland's financial markets on Friday. ALL TIMES GMT (Poland: GMT + 2 hour):


POLAND'S GOLD RESERVES The National Bank of Poland increased its gold reserves by 15 tonnes in April, the biggest monthly increase since 2019. Poland's gold reserves now amount to 243.5 tonnes, Gazeta Polska Codziennie reports.


COMMERCIAL BANKS Almost all banks that have published first quarter results reported lower or only marginally higher interest margins compared to the last months of the 2022. That may imply a change of trend as interest margins have been continuously rising since late 2021, Rzeczpospolita daily reports.
ZLOTY EXCHANGE RATE


Polish zloty is at a strongest level to the euro since May-June of 2022 amid support from improving trade balance and direct investments, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports.
