NEW YORK, May 10 (Reuters) - Brazilian pulp and paper
giant Suzano is studying the commercial opportunities
of trading in different currencies depending on the customer,
Chief Executive Walter Schalka said on Wednesday.
Asked about the possibility of using various currencies for
trade, Schalka told Reuters that some customers "are asking us
in different regions of the world, and we think this could be an
opportunity for us, a commercial opportunity that we cannot
afford not to use."
Specifically, he said, "For Chinese customers yuan is going
to be relevant. ... This is one of the opportunities that we
have. We don't have a timeline, we are studying the case."
