India New Issue-HDFC accepts bids for 5-year bonds - bankers

MUMBAI, May 15 (Reuters) - India's Housing Development Finance Corp has accepted bids worth 30 billion rupees ($366.84 million) through bonds maturing in five years, three bankers said on Monday.


The housing finance company will pay a coupon of 7.70% on this bond issue, for which it had invited bids from investors and bankers earlier in the day.


The bonds are rated AAA by CRISIL and ICRA, and the issue will be settled on Tuesday. In April, the company raised 150 billion rupees via 10-year bonds at a coupon of 7.80%. ($1 = 81.7800 Indian rupees) (Reporting by Bhakti Tambe)
