POLITICS Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni criticised France and Germany on Thursday after she was not invited to a dinner in Paris with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, adding to friction between the European Union allies. ECONOMY ISTAT releases December industrial output data (0900 GMT) and monthly bulletin on the state of the economy in January (1000 GMT). DEBT Italy's Treasury said on Thursday it would offer up to 8.5 billion euros in BTP bonds at auction on Feb. 14. Treasury sells 7.0 billion euros 12-month BOT bills. Subscriptions close at 1000 GMT. COMPANIES INTESA SANPAOLO Italy's largest bank said on Thursday that most of its affected cleared derivatives operations were back up and running, after a ransomware attack at financial data company ION impacted operations at the Italian lender. ENEL Italy's biggest utility reported on Thursday better than expected core profits and an improvement in its net financial position, with preliminary ordinary core earnings for 2022 at 19.7 billion euros, above a 19.0-19.6 billion euro guidance indicated in November. UNIPOL , UNIPOLSAI Italy's second-largest insurer UnipolSai reported on Friday a year-on-year drop of around 10% in net profits in 2022, weighed down by one-off costs for staff early exits and higher claims expenses due to inflationary pressures. Parent company Unipol said its net profit for 2022 increased to 683 million euros, adding it would pay dividend of 0.37 euros per share with a dividend yield of 7.5%. IVECO The truckmaker said on Friday its operating profit of industrial activities more than quadrupled in the fourth quarter of last year, on the back of strong pricing power, higher volume and better product mix. UNICREDIT , MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA (MPS) UniCredit Chief Executive Andrea Orcel reiterated in a Friday interview with Corriere della Sera daily that his bank has "no ongoing negotiations" for the purchase of MPS and that "there are no conditions today" for the takeover of the state-owned Tuscan lender. TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TIM's Brazilian subsidiary TIM SA on Thursday reported a 23.2% decline in fourth-quarter net profit even as revenues surged, on the back of costs linked to its acquisition of Oi's mobile division. (*) The CEO of Swisscom's Italian unit Fastweb, Alberto Calcagno, told La Repubblica daily on Friday that his company would be ready to buy from TIM and Open Fiber parts of their fixed line network that they may have to sell for antitrust reasons in case they combine their assets. MEDIOBANCA The Italian financial group is on track to exceed targets set under a business plan to June 30, 2023, after a jump in income from lending led to a record first half net profit, its chief executive said. ACEA The board of Italian regional utility on Thursday reaffirmed its "full confidence" in CEO Fabrizio Palermo, after press reports accused him of misogyny and abusive conduct. ILLIMITY The Italian online bank expects 100 million euros in net profit for 2023, it said on Friday, as it posted its fourth-quarter results.


ASCOPIAVE , HERA The Italian small utility plans to exercise a put option to sell its 40% stake in EstEnergy, its joint venture with Hera, its chairman and chief executive said on Thursday. EUROGROUP LAMINATIONS Electric motor components maker EuroGroup Laminations debuts on Euronext Milan. NICE FOOTWARE Holding Stilosa ends full voluntary takeover offer on Nice Footware shares and warrants (started on Jan. 9). DIARY Rome, President Sergio Mattarella attends 'Memorial Day' ceremony (1000 GMT). Rome, event "Italy, Somalia. A special relationship" with Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, Defence Minister Guido Crosetto (1600 GMT). Milan, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini visits the Olympic Village building sites, with Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala (1015 GMT); followed by news conference (1100 GMT).


Milan, farmers lobby Coldiretti holds meeting "Tourism and Food: Italy that wins" with Coldiretti President Ettore Prandini, Tourism Minister Daniela Santanche, Agriculture Minister Francesco Lollobrigida, Lombardy region Governor Attilio Fontana (0900 GMT).
