* Northwestern European gasoline shipments to the United States and West Africa are lagging behind January and year-ago levels due to ample inventories and winter storms set to quell the nascent demand recovery from last week, according to Refinitiv analysts.
* However, values are holding in part on expectations of tighter supplies as refineries on both sides of the Atlantic shut for what is a heavy maintenance season. Refinitiv is tracking 298,000 tonnes of loadings this week on the two major routes, down slightly from the 308,000 tonnes last week.
* So far February liftings total 1.55 million tonnes down from the massive 2.17 million tonnes shipped out in January. A year ago February shipments reached 2.64 million tonnes while January was at a low 1.65 million tonnes, the data show.
* Gasoline stocks held in independent storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage area rose to 1.455 million tons last week, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed on Thursday. Adjusted for seasonality they are above levels seen at this time of year at least since 2003.
* The levels were up from 1.436 million tons the previous week and 1.191 million tons at the equivalent period last year.
* U.S. gasoline stocks fell by 1.9 million barrels, the EIA said.?
* European gasoline output rose 4.5% in January on the month and 3.1% on the year, according to Euroilstock data. Naphtha production fell 2.2% on the month but rose 2.3% on the year.
* Overall, European refiners produced 10.253 million barrels per day (bpd) of oil products in January, 1.7% more than the previous month and up 6.6% from a year earlier, Euroilstock data showed.
* Three fires broke out on Thursday at different facilities in Mexico and the United States operated by state-owned Mexican oil company Pemex, leaving five missing and eight others injured as of Thursday evening. Trades Bids Offers Prev. Sellers Buyers (vol.) Trades
