ECONOMY ISTAT releases January retail sales data (0900 GMT).
DEBT Italy's Treasury said on Tuesday it would offer 6.5 bln euros in 12-month BOT bills at an auction on March 10. The Treasury sold 2.93 billion euros of its latest 5-year 'BTP Italia' inflation-linked bond to retail investors on Tuesday, taking total orders to 6.57 billion euros in the first two days of its offering, Bourse data showed. The offer ends on Wednesday, with the final day reserved for retail investors, subject to early closure.
(*) Ratings agency Moody's said on Tuesday that the upward revisions to Italy's budget deficits for the last three years announced by national statistics bureau ISTAT last week would have limited economic and fiscal implications.
COMPANIES NEXI The Italian payments firm on Tuesday reported a 17% rise in retailer transaction volumes for the first eight weeks of the year as it met 2022 earnings expectations and confirmed its guidance for 2023. (*) MF newspaper reported on Wednesday that the company is looking at several business opportunities in the near future, including the possible purchase of Banco BPM's "merchant acquiring" division.

FINCANTIERI Conference call on FY results. (*) The shipbuilder said on Tuesday it made a net loss of 324 million euros in 2022 due to extraordinary or non-recurring items. Revenues rose 11.7% to 7.44 million euros, in line with expectations. Order intake stood at 5.3 billion euros, up 59%, with a positive contribution from Cruise and Offshore.
