STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 789.39 points, or 1.34%,
to 59,698.74, helped by the positive Asian cues and rally in
shares of Adani Group companies. The broader NSE index advanced 220.35 points, or 1.27%, to 17,542.25, RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.44% versus the U.S.
dollar to 82.2275, tracking the advance on its Asian peers and
on the positive risk mood GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.88
rupees, with yield down 1 bps at 7.4262%, aided by the slight
pullback in U.S. yields. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 7.02%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 2 bps to 6.62%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 20 bps at
6.10% against 6.30% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.26%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.2350%.
