Middle East Crude-Benchmarks mixed; Saudi Arabia June OSP awaits

SINGAPORE, May 4 (Reuters) - Middle East crude benchmarks were mixed on Thursday, with Oman dipping while Dubai and Murban drifted higher, as the market awaited top oil exporter Saudi Arabia to put out its official selling prices for June. Saudi typically release the prices on the fifth of each month. Demand for medium sour crude in Asia remains solid, especially in China as the country reopens from zero-COVID regime.


Unipec, the trade arm of Asia's top refiner Sinopec, is heard having bought some 11 or even more Upper Zakum cargoes last month, alongside "bigger than normal" volume of West African crude, traders said.


OSP Indonesia has set the official Indonesia Crude Price (ICP) for Minas crude oil at $84.94 a barrel for April 2023, up $6.38 from the previous month, a document from the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources showed. The April Minas alpha, or price difference to dated Brent, was set at minus $3.31 a barrel, down 77 cents from a month earlier, the document which was seen by Reuters showed. SINGAPORE CASH DEALS Cash Dubai's premium to swaps gained 6 cents to $1.55 a barrel.

NEWS More than half of the 22 oil tankers in Venezuela's fleet are so run down that they should be immediately repaired or taken out of service, according to an internal report from state-run oil company PDVSA that was shared exclusively with Reuters. Iraq expects to reach an agreement with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to restart oil export flows from the country's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region within two weeks, Oil Minister Hayan Abdel-Ghani said at a conference in Baghdad on Wednesday. Kazakhstan Railways will ban transportation of oil products to the Russian Black Sea port of Taman starting from May 8, according to a document from the state-owned railway operator, seen by Reuters on Thursday. Inventories of middle distillates in storage at key trading hub Singapore edged lower as gasoil imports fell week-on-week, official data showed on Thursday.
