STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 88.08 points, or 0.14%,
to 61,281.38, tracking an uptick in most Asian equity gauges
following the Federal Reserve policy outcome. The broader NSE
index advanced 21.9 points, or 0.12%, to 18,111.75. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.12% versus the U.S.
dollar to 81.71 after the Fed opened the door to a pause in the
rate hike cycle. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 101.75
rupees, with yield unchanged at 7.0076% amid a fall in U.S.
yields and concerns over upcoming debt supply. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 2
bps at 6.56%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 1 bps to 5.95%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 20 bps at
6.85% against 6.65% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.75%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.7231%.
