MUMBAI, May 11 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 35.68 points, or 0.06%,
to 61,904.52, while the broader NSE index lost 19.7
points, or 0.11%, to 18,295.4 as a handful of downbeat quarterly
earnings reports offset optimism from favourable U.S. inflation
data and persistent foreign buying in domestic equities. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.13% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 82.09 per dollar, weighed down by broad strength
in the dollar index. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 101.64
rupees, with the yield down 2 bps at 7.0223%; vs the previous
close of 7.0405% as U.S. inflation data increased bets of the
U.S. Fed pausing rate hikes. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
3 bps at 6.57%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 1 bps to 6.02%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was unchanged at
6.75% against 6.75% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.76%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.7644%.
