Aug 13 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday as soft data in the United States kept hopes for a September rate-cut by the Federal Reserve intact, while declines in commodity-linked shares limited gains.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (13:31 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index (.GSPTSE), opens new tab was up 44.69 points, or 0.2%, at 22,443.62.
