Oct 15 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Tuesday, hurt by energy stocks, while a larger-than-expected drop in domestic annual inflation raised expectations for an outsized interest rate cut by the Bank of Canada next week.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (13:31 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index (.GSPTSE), was down 60.05 points, or 0.25%, at 24,411.12.
