The reason why miners hold cash, not gold - Orla Mining's Jason Simpson on growing production
Use cash to grow gold production, said Jason Simpson, president and CEO of Orla Mining. Last month Simpson spoke to Kitco Mining at the Gold Forum Americas/XPL-DEV 2024 in Colorado. When asked if gold miners should hold more precious metals rather than cash, Simpson responded: "Most gold companies, including ours, intentionally grow our pipeline. We use that cash to enhance the value of the business by expanding gold production and making new discoveries."
