Gold stocks “printing money” as bull market soars and $1B US mining push kicks off

The gold sector is gaining significant momentum, with record profits, soaring margins, and a wave of deals being made that signal a powerful surge ahead. John Feneck, Founder & CEO, The Feneck Commodities Report, told Kitco Mining’s Digging Deep that gold producers are “going to print money” as prices hold in the $3,100 to $3,400 range, unlocking huge free cash flow across the industry. Quarterly earnings underscored this strength, with major and mid-tier miners reporting strong results and expanding margins. From established names like Barrick, Newmont, and Agnico Eagle to new players such as Artemis Gold, the trend is clear: “We’re in a bull market”. Policy shifts are amplifying the upside. Under the U.S. Fast 41 program and new Trump administration measures, projects like Paramount Gold’s Grassy Mountain and Equinox Gold’s Castle Mountain are moving through permitting faster. Trump’s $1BN critical minerals funding package, which Feneck called “just the beginning,” is designed to accelerate domestic supply chains for rare earths, lithium, and other strategic metals. M&A is also heating up, with Mitsubishi’s $600 million investment into Hudbay’s Copper World Project highlighting Arizona’s importance as a U.S. copper hub, while Alamos Gold is expanding in Nevada. Barrick continues to streamline by shedding non-core assets, and in the Yukon, juniors like Triumph Gold and Fireweed Metals are drawing renewed attention for their gold, silver, and tungsten potential. From surging profits to strategic deals and a stronger U.S. policy backdrop, Feneck sees opportunity across the board. “This is the time you go for it.”
