Blackrock Silver highlights 2.3 year payback at $1,900 gold and $23 silver
Blackrock Silver (TSXV: BRC; OTCQX: BKRRF) has crossed the 100-million-ounce silver equivalent mark at its Tonopah West project in Nevada, delivering its first indicated resources alongside inferred ounces. Speaking with Kitco Mining at the 2025 Precious Metals Summit Beaver Creek, President and CEO Andrew Pollard said the update de-risks the project: “Our PEA, we used $1,900 gold and $23 silver, and that had a 2.3-year payback period.” The company reported an indicated grade of 493 grams per tonne silver equivalent, with Pollard noting, “Our project works at $15 silver… our silver grade at 215 and our gold grade at 2.05, both independently are above our cutoff grade.” He also highlighted that with “all in sustaining costs of under $12. You got one heck of a business.” Pollard emphasized Blackrock’s growth trajectory, with a second resource update targeting mine life extension and 22 holes currently in the lab testing a 1.2 km strike extension. “Every single ounce we’re adding is gonna bolt onto the existing mine plan and be incredibly accretive,” he said.
