Barrick’s Bristow outlines path with Fourmile PEA, Reko Diq and Chile
Barrick Gold (NYSE: B; TSX: ABX) is advancing its Fourmile deposit in Nevada, where a new preliminary economic assessment outlines production of up to 750,000 ounces annually for 25 years at all-in sustaining costs of US$750 per ounce. President and CEO Mark Bristow told Kitco Mining at Mining Forum Americas 2025 that Fourmile is “a world-class tier one asset in the making,” pointing to intersections over 100 meters at grades exceeding 100 g/t and the potential to double the resource through drilling. The project is expected to be integrated into Nevada Gold Mines, Barrick’s joint venture with Newmont, with an independent evaluator determining its full value. Bristow also emphasized progress at Reko Diq in Pakistan, where the US$6.5 billion phase-one development is fully funded, and stressed community engagement and security in Balochistan. He added that Barrick is rebuilding its license to operate in Chile and advancing new exploration in the Andes. “If you do it right and you have the relationships and you can demonstrate real contribution to the state, the communities, and the nation, you get your permits done,” he said.
