Metalla secures $75M credit facility to pursue larger transactions

Metalla Royalty & Streaming (TSXV: MTA; NYSE American: MTA) President and CEO Brett Heath says gold is undergoing a structural shift that could redefine its role in the global financial system. Speaking with Kitco Mining at Mining Forum Americas 2025, Heath said, “What we’ve seen in the first time in the last 30 years is gold as a percentage of global reserves has just surpassed US treasuries.” He added, “What that tells me is we could see gold move significantly higher.” Heath emphasized that despite record 50–70% margins at major miners, “we still have not seen the kind of material shift of generalists coming into this sector.” He believes that signals the bull market is still in its early stages, with juniors now beginning to catch up. Consolidation is also accelerating in the royalty and streaming space, where majors are securing Tier 1 assets. With 100 assets and 88% of value in development, Metalla forecasts 30–35% compound growth, supported by catalysts such as royalties from Endeavor in Australia, production at Amalgamated Kirkland, and progress at Castle Mountain and Gosselin/Côté. “We have access to that capital to be able to grow our business and scale,” Heath said.
