Denver Gold Group Executive Director Tim Wood says Mining Forum Americas 2025 delivered record engagement. Speaking with Kitco Mining, he said, “We are just thrilled with the outcome this year,” noting more than 4,000 meetings were completed versus just over 3,000 last year. Attendance rose from 886 to over 1,000, driven by a 38% increase in buy-side delegates compared to just 6% on the corporate side. Wood highlighted major news, including Barrick’s Fourmile PEA and the US$1 billion Hemlo sale, as well as Agnico confirming it would not bid for Teck. On Fourmile, he said, “The metrics, when you look at the potential for that project, are incredible.” Looking at sentiment, Wood said, “I think we are going to have another major discovery in the next four or five years.” He argued the sector is moving toward a healthier cycle, likening it to airlines stabilizing after decades of boom and bust.
