Liberty Gold CEO on the 9.9% investment from Sentara

Liberty Gold (TSX: LGD; OTCQX: LGDTF) CEO Jon Gilligan says Centerra Gold’s 9.9% stake is validation of the Black Pine project in Idaho. Speaking with Kitco Mining at Mining Forum Americas 2025, he said, “It’s a resounding endorsement from a company of the quality of Centerra.” He added that they had “looked at the quality of the technical work we did at pre-feasibility, our plans to take this through pre-feasibility, and they’ve endorsed that as being the right way forward.” Black Pine is advancing toward feasibility with 40,000 meters of drilling underway to expand Rangefront. Near-surface mineralization could reduce stripping and move Rangefront into mine plans, while historic heap-leach pads may yield 50,000–100,000 ounces. Gilligan emphasized the project’s leverage to gold, noting, “For every a hundred dollars movement increase in the gold price, we see a hundred million dollars additional to our NPV.” A feasibility study is due in 2026, with permitting milestones beginning this year.
