Gold pullback marks the start of a stronger bull market

Nicole Adshead-Bell, Director of Cupel Advisory, joins Kitco Mining’s Digging Deep to discuss gold’s recent correction and what it signals for the broader mining cycle. She says the 10% pullback is a healthy sign in an ongoing bull market. “I think we were due for a pullback, and I think in any bull market, everybody has to remember that it’s not always just a straight line up,” she said. “In fact, when it gets a perpendicular straight line up, that’s normally a sell signal.” Adshead-Bell explains why she finds it “easier to be rational” in calmer markets and highlights growing institutional interest from firms like JP Morgan and Agnico Eagle. She also outlines 2025 as copper’s “pinch year,” warning that new supply remains years away, and says disciplined, rational investing will define mining’s next cycle.
