Will silver’s ‘clear as day’ $54 double top hold above $49?

Gold is up more than 50 percent year to date, but a recent “lower high” has introduced a cautionary note in the current trend, says Gary Wagner, Editor of TheGoldForecast.com. Speaking with Kitco News Anchor Jeremy Szafron, Wagner reviewed the “Sequential Nine” exhaustion signal he used to call the $4,400 top and warned that the failure to hold $4,200 is “not what you want to see.” He identified $3,900 as a critical “line in the sand,” adding that a break below that level could indicate a deeper trend reversal. Wagner also analyzed silver’s “clear as day” Double Top at $54 and the key support levels at $49 and $47 that must hold for the bull market to remain intact. Despite the near-term pressure, Wagner remains bullish into early 2026. If consolidation resolves to the upside, he sees a path toward $4,500 gold in Q1. The conversation provides a clean technical roadmap for investors navigating the next stages of the precious metals cycle.
