Aya CEO maps out 2027 feasibility and 2028 construction for Boumadine

Aya Gold and Silver CEO Benoit La Salle discusses the company’s record performance, expanding production profile, and the impact of stronger silver prices on margins. Zgounder’s new 2,700 tonne per day plant has increased total capacity to about 3,700 tonnes per day, supporting a smooth ramp-up and higher output. La Salle said the company continues to benefit from elevated prices, noting that “Our lowest selling price right now in Q4 is 51 dollars,” which has helped push margins above 30 dollars per ounce. La Salle also outlines Aya’s growth strategy in Morocco as the fully permitted Boumadine project advances through updated studies and a major drill program. Planned as an 8,000 tonne per day operation producing more than 30 million ounces of silver equivalent annually, Boumadine has attracted strong financing interest, including support from EBRD and potential offtake prepayments. With Zgounder generating increasing cash flow and Boumadine moving toward a construction decision, Aya is positioning itself for a significant step change in scale and production in the coming years.
