AbraSilver prepares 2026 build decision as RGI unlocks new economics

AbraSilver Resource Corp is moving its Diablillos silver-gold project in Argentina toward a construction decision as the company submits its application for the country’s new RGI tax and legal stability regime. CEO John Miniotis says the program is a “game changer,” offering a 30-year stability agreement, lower taxes, zero export duties, and full foreign-exchange flexibility. The company expects approval in Q1 2026 and is targeting a feasibility study by the end of March, based on a significantly larger 350-million-ounce silver-equivalent resource and stronger early-year grades driven by the near-surface Jack zone. Miniotis discusses the project’s financing path, recent board additions, and a conservative Q3 2026 timeline for a final investment decision, noting that AbraSilver is fully funded through next year with $65 million in cash and no debt. He also highlights continued exploration success, expansion potential to 18,000 tons per day, and the growing scarcity value of large primary silver projects as M&A interest builds across the sector.
