Discovery Silver builds a gold cash flow engine at Porcupine
Mark Utting, Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at Discovery Silver, says the company’s acquisition of the Porcupine complex has reshaped its business model, providing meaningful gold production and cash flow in Canada while preserving long term silver upside through its Cordero project in Mexico. Speaking with Kitco Mining, Utting outlined how Porcupine produced more than 66,000 ounces of gold in Q4 2025 and roughly 180,000 ounces from the April acquisition close through year end, giving Discovery a strong operational base and financial flexibility. Utting also discussed the potential restart of the historic Dome Mine, which hosts an estimated 11 million ounces of gold in resources and could add 200,000 to 250,000 ounces of annual production if brought back online. He said Discovery is focused on reinvesting cash flow to grow production, extend mine life, and advance Cordero while maintaining capital discipline and minimizing dilution. “We give dual exposure on the precious metal side,” Utting said, describing a strategy that pairs Canadian gold cash flow with large-scale silver development.
