Outcrop Silver CEO Ian Harris says the company has entered a new execution phase as it accelerates work at its Santa Ana silver project in Tolima, Colombia. Speaking with Kitco Mining’s Investment Trends, Harris said Outcrop’s asset base has remained consistent, but recent financing has materially changed its ability to advance the project, noting, “I have two years of runway,” something he said he has not had in more than a decade. Harris outlined plans for an updated mineral resource at Santa Ana, where four drills are currently operating, and said the next stage of work is expected to move the project toward development. “The project has never had a PEA,” he said, adding that the upcoming phase is intended to introduce Santa Ana’s first economic study as scale and project definition improve. Harris also emphasized the strategic importance of scale in the silver sector, stating, “Scale still matters, right?” while pointing to Colombia’s upcoming elections as a potential market perception catalyst as updated guidance and project milestones are reflected in valuations.
