Goldstorm targets “1 billion ton” giant in BC’s golden triangle
Goldstorm Metals (TSXV: GSTM) President and CEO Ken Konkin says the company is preparing to test a large copper-gold-silver system along the same regional trend that hosts KSM, Treaty Creek, and Brucejack in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle. Speaking with Kitco Mining’s Investment Trends, Konkin said the company will drill a 1.2 km IP chargeability anomaly along the Orion Spine, adding, “we're after the elephant here, not the mink or the fox here, we're after the elephant.” He described the objective as “a large 1 billion ton target.” Goldstorm plans a 3,000 m first-pass program this summer, with success defined as intercepting “0.3% copper, say a gram gold over hundreds of meters.” Konkin also pointed to historic drilling on trend that returned “222 meters of 0.9 gold.” Beyond the deep porphyry target, he highlighted high-grade gold-silver upside at Delta West, including surface samples up to 39.9 grams gold, and said the region remains attractive from both infrastructure and geopolitical standpoints, adding, “This is truly a silver belt as much as it is a gold belt.”
