Sitka Gold CEO Cor Coe says the company’s RC Gold project in Yukon’s Tombstone Gold Belt now hosts more than 5 Moz in total gold resources following the maiden resource estimate for the Rhosgobel deposit announced Feb. 25, 2026. The updated mineral resource totals 1.29 Moz indicated and 3.83 Moz inferred across the Blackjack, Rhosgobel, and Eiger deposits. Speaking with Kitco Mining at PDAC 2026, Coe said the discovery reflects the scale potential typical of intrusion-related gold systems. “Five to 10 million ounces is not uncommon,” he said, referring to similar deposits such as Fort Knox and Eagle. Rhosgobel has emerged as the fastest-growing discovery at the project. “15,000 meters to end up with a couple million ounces of gold,” Coe said. “Just basically four months of drilling.” Sitka has drilled just under 60,000 meters to define the current resource and plans another 60,000 meters in 2026 as it works to expand the deposits and potentially advance RC Gold toward a preliminary economic assessment next year.
