Silver’s powerful rally may be entering a new phase, with growing attention turning toward mining equities as institutional capital begins exploring the sector. Speaking with Kitco News at PDAC 2026, Peter Krauth, author of The Great Silver Bull and editor of Silver Stock Investor, said the market appears to be transitioning from the early “stealth phase” of the bull cycle into the awareness phase, where broader investor participation begins to accelerate. Krauth also warned that structural stress could emerge in the paper silver market if large futures holders demand physical delivery that exchanges cannot meet. At the same time, he pointed to strong industrial demand and tightening supply fundamentals supporting the metal. Krauth added that silver developers remain deeply discounted relative to producers, arguing the sector could see significant upside if institutional capital continues moving into mining equities.
