Gold selloff hits key test: Will prices drop to $4,000? | Ronald Stöferle
Ronald-Peter Stöferle, Managing Partner at Incrementum AG and co-author of the In Gold We Trust report, says gold’s current pullback is testing investor conviction but does not necessarily signal the end of the bull market. Speaking with Kitco News Senior Anchor Jeremy Szafron, Stöferle described the correction as a potential “base camp” pause as markets digest stronger jobs data, rising yields, and shifting Federal Reserve expectations. Stöferle said Western investors are reducing exposure while central banks and emerging-market buyers continue to support the broader remonetization trend in gold. He discussed the movement of capital from bonds into hard assets, the role of gold as a geopolitical and monetary pressure valve, and the factors generalist investors now demand from gold and silver miners. Stöferle also outlined the downside risk toward $4,000 and his longer-term target of $8,900.
