Lawrence Lepard says gold selloff is a pause, not the peak

Lawrence Lepard, Founder of Equity Management Associates and author of The Big Print, says the recent gold selloff is a pause within the bull market rather than a final peak. Speaking with Kitco News anchor Jeremy Szafron, Lepard said he was wrong-footed by the Federal Reserve’s hawkish hold but remains a buyer of gold as debt, refinancing pressure, and interest costs continue to build. Lepard pointed to the U.S. debt cycle, $1.3 trillion in annual interest expense, and $9 trillion in refinancing needs as reasons he expects eventual yield curve control and renewed money printing. He also discussed silver’s sharp rally and supply deficit, said silver miners offer strong value, and compared bitcoin’s role as “digital gold” with the case for physical precious metals and sound money.
