Blackrock Silver President and CEO Andrew Pollard says new drilling at the company’s Tonopah West project in Nevada has extended high-grade mineralization another 600 meters northwest along the Denver vein system. Speaking with Kitco Mining at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek, Pollard said the step-out drilling has opened up significant exploration upside, with additional assays still pending and follow-up drilling underway. Pollard also outlined Blackrock’s development path, including permitting for an exploration decline, a planned minimum 50,000-ton bulk sample and underground drilling designed to support a move directly toward feasibility. He said the company is targeting groundbreaking in 2027 and views the permitting milestone as a major step in closing the valuation gap as Tonopah West advances toward development.
