Mackay Gold & Silver CEO and Director Darwin Green says the company has consolidated the major historic lodes across Nevada’s Comstock district, giving it the ability to explore the system at district scale for the first time. Speaking with Kitco Mining at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek, Green said the acquisitions have removed property-boundary barriers that previously limited exploration across the district. Green also discussed the first results from Mackay’s maiden drill program at Occidental South, where step-out drilling extended the known mineralized zone to roughly 550 meters. He outlined the company’s goal of framing 2 to 3 million ounces over the next 12 to 24 months through new drilling and conversion of historical estimates, while also testing the deeper Sutro Tunnel target and preparing to scale up drilling across the district.
