Kinross raises shareholder returns as cash flow builds | Paul Rollinson

Paul Rollinson, President and CEO of Kinross Gold, says the company is increasing shareholder returns while continuing to fund a substantial organic growth pipeline. Speaking with Kitco Mining at the 2026 Mining Forum Americas in Colorado Springs, Rollinson said Kinross raised its 2026 capital-return target from 40% to 50% of free cash flow, while still expecting to maintain a strong net-cash position and fund future projects internally. Rollinson also discussed Kinross’s recent production guidance trim, which he linked to temporary operational issues including severe weather and higher-than-expected copper at La Coipa. He said the company remains comfortable with its internal growth base, citing about 20 million ounces of reserves and roughly 40 million ounces of additional resources, with Great Bear, Lobo-Marte, Tasiast, Round Mountain and Curlew forming part of the longer-term growth path.
