AbraSilver targets 19M oz silver in peak production year | John Miniotis
John Miniotis, President & CEO of AbraSilver, says the company is moving the Diablillos silver-gold project in Argentina from exploration into development after securing key permits, RIGI approval and completing its definitive feasibility study. Speaking with Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek, Miniotis said AbraSilver is advancing early works and engineering ahead of a targeted Q2 2027 final investment decision while evaluating debt, streaming and a limited equity component for the roughly $722 million initial build. Miniotis said Diablillos could produce 19 million ounces of silver in its peak production year, while the feasibility study outlines AISC of about $20 per silver-equivalent ounce over a 25-year mine life. Exploration is continuing through a 15,000-meter drill campaign, with another resource update targeted for Q2 2027. AbraSilver is also advancing a heap-leach study and is targeting first production before the end of 2029.
