Cabral Gold targets phase 1 expansion after first gold sale | Alan Carter

Cabral Gold is moving from mine construction into its next phase of growth at the Cuiú Cuiú Gold District in Brazil, with plans to expand its initial oxide operation while advancing a larger hard-rock project. Speaking with Kitco Mining on September 25, CEO Alan Carter said Phase 1 had entered production two months ahead of schedule and could produce roughly 25,000 ounces of gold in its first 12 months. Cabral is targeting a doubling of Phase 1 capacity from 3,000 to 6,000 tonnes per day over roughly the next year. The company is also preparing an updated global resource estimate, with six deposits now being modeled and more than 50 additional exploration targets across the district. On September 30, Cabral announced its first gold sale, with more than 2,400 ounces sold at an average net realized price above $4,200 per ounce. The company said Cuiú Cuiú remained on time and budget for commercial production in Q4 2026.
