Collective Mining targets next phase of Apollo development | Ari Sussman

Collective Mining is accelerating the Apollo deposit at its Guayabales Project in Colombia from exploration toward permitting and development after announcing a maiden resource of about 5.4 million gold-equivalent ounces. Speaking with Kitco Mining at the 2026 Mining Forum Americas, Executive Chair Ari Sussman said the company is targeting another resource update around Q4 2027 or Q1 2028 and expects continued drilling could lift Apollo toward 7–8 million gold-equivalent ounces. Collective is also targeting submission of its environmental license application in H2 2027, with Sussman expecting a decision roughly 11–12 months after ANLA receives it. Looking further ahead, he said the company is contemplating a 15,000-tonne-per-day operation and believes a future Apollo mine could produce more than 400,000 ounces annually, subject to further drilling and economic studies. “We're in a builder's market,” Sussman said.
