Sinda targets 20M oz annual silver production by 2031 | Daniel Muñiz Quintanilla
Sinda is targeting annual silver production exceeding 20 million ounces by 2031 as it advances the Guanajuato Sur district in Mexico, following approximately $331 million raised through its IPO and related placements, including a $95 million investment from Fresnillo. Speaking with Kitco Mining's Paul Harris at Mining Forum Americas 2026, Executive Chairman Daniel Muñiz Quintanilla outlined approximately 385 million silver-equivalent ounces in indicated and inferred resources, alongside 452 million to 484 million ounces in conceptual exploration targets. He said significant drilling potential remains across the property. Sinda is preparing a nine-kilometre underground exploration decline at Caracol, with further resource updates and a preliminary economic assessment planned through 2027. Management is targeting construction in 2030 and initial production in 2031, although the proposed 6,000-tonne-per-day operation remains subject to technical studies. Muñiz also discussed exploration at Don Diego, which could connect the Caracol and Agaves deposits, and Fresnillo's strategic investment and technical collaboration. The neighboring companies are advancing separate projects, with no joint processing arrangement agreed.
