Tiger Gold targets 250,000 oz annual production at Quinchía | Robert Vallis

Tiger Gold is targeting annual gold production exceeding 250,000 ounces at its Quinchía Gold Project in Colombia as exploration success and higher gold prices reshape the company's development strategy. Speaking with Kitco Mining's Paul Harris on October 5, 2026, President and CEO Robert Vallis outlined plans to expand beyond the previously permitted Miraflores underground project toward a larger operation incorporating Tesorito and Ceibal. The existing preliminary economic assessment envisages approximately 140,000 ounces of annual production during its first five years, while the larger production scenario remains a management objective. Tiger completed 12,124 metres of drilling at Tesorito before shifting all three rigs to Ceibal, where Vallis is targeting a maiden resource potentially comparable to Tesorito's approximately 1.57 million inferred gold ounces. The company plans updated resource estimates and a revised preliminary economic assessment in the first quarter of 2027. Vallis also discussed gold-price leverage and the additional engineering and environmental approvals required for the proposed expanded open-pit development.
