Altius Minerals is expanding its lithium and renewable energy royalty portfolio following a series of investments and acquisitions. Speaking with Kitco Mining's Ernest Hoffman at XPLOR 2026 in Montreal, independent director André Gaumond discusses the acquisition of Lithium Royalty Corp. and Altius' increased ownership in Great Bay Renewables from 29% to 50%. The company reported preliminary Q3 2026 attributable royalty revenue of C$33.2million, including C$13.2 million in its electricity category, which includes financing-related income. Gaumond anticipates record revenues over the next 12 months as additional renewable projects begin contributing. He also discusses potential further acquisitions, growing demand for copper and electricity from AI infrastructure, and the role of lithium battery storage. Altius' diversified portfolio includes royalty exposure to copper, lithium, potash, iron ore and gold.
