MUMBAI, Jan 30 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 96.25 points, or 0.16%,
to 59,427.15, while the broader NSE index gained 30.3
points, or 0.17%, to 17,634.65, as select Adani Group companies
arrested the recent slide after a short-seller attack on group
companies triggered a sell-off over the previous two sessions. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.17% to 81.67 per U.S.
dollar, as traders cited heavy dollar buying at the beginning of
a week packed with global central bank meetings and India's
budget. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.19
rupees, with yield down 1 bps at 7.3785%, as caution prevailed
before the Union budget and another elevated borrowing plan from
states. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
3 bps at 6.67%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 3 bps to 6.19%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 10 bps at
6.55% against 6.45% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.48%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.4264%.
