* Northwestern European gasoline exports to the United States and West Africa gathered momentum last week backed by cheaper freight rates and renewed demand across the Atlantic, Refinitiv analysts said.
* Exports across the two major arbitrage routes of the United States and West Africa rose to 1.86 million tons so far in January, up from 1.64 million tons in December. The increased flows raised European gasoline values leading to higher cracks and wider backwardation, they added.
* Refinitiv Oil Research tracked around 327,000 t of gasoline exports from northwestern Europe to the United States last week, up from 111,000 the previous week.
* A price cap on imported Russian oil products is due to come into force on Feb. 5, along with an EU import ban on Russia's refined products.
* Gasoline stocks held in independent storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage area rose to their highest since September, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed.
* Gasoline stockpiles rose 3.5% as exports to the United States remained relatively weak, while African and South American exports picked up somewhat, said Insights Global's Lars van Wageningen.
* Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, may trim prices for crude grades sold to Asia for a fourth straight month in March, amid low physical oil premiums, as oversupply worries linger despite expectations of demand recovery in China.
* Independent Russian oil refiner Forteinvest has clinched a deal that will see Russian gasoline sent to Pakistan by land for the first time, two industry sources said on Friday, as Russian refiners seek alternative markets for motor fuels days before an EU import ban.
* French strikes which were meant to last 48 hours at nuclear reactors and fuel refineries have ended after a day, with the hardline CGT union saying workers preferred to join a national strike next Tuesday. Trades Bids Offers Prev. Sellers Buyers (vol.) Trades
