MUMBAI, Jan 30 (Reuters) - STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 368.66 points, or 0.62%,
to 58,962.24, while the broader NSE index lost 86.65
points, or 0.49%, to 17,517.7 mirroring financials, ahead of the
Union budget, while select Adani Group stocks arrested the
recent slide after a short-seller attack on group companies
triggered a sell-off over the previous two sessions. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.15% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 81.66 per dollar as traders cited heavy dollar
buying at the beginning of a week GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.05
rupees, with yield up 1 bps at 7.3993% vs previous close of
7.3874% as traders await budget annoucement on Wednesday. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
1 bps at 6.69%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 1 bps to 6.23%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 30 bps at
6.15% against 6.45% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.51%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.4264%.
