ANKARA, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports, and
events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday.
The lira stood at 18.8105 against the dollar at
0415 GMT, little changed from a close of 18.8060 on Monday.
The main BIST 100 share index closed 1.84% lower at
5,096.29 points on Monday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian shares traded cautiously and bonds nursed small losses
on Tuesday as investors braced for an eventful week that
includes central bank meetings, a slew of earnings reports and
key U.S. economic data.
NATO
Finland and Sweden will join NATO at the same time, Finnish
foreign minister said on Monday, after Turkish President Tayyip
Erdogan signalled over the weekend that Ankara could agree to
Finland joining NATO ahead of Sweden.
TRADE DATA The Turkish Statistical Institute will announce trade data
for December and 2022 (0700 GMT).
TOURISM DATA The Turkish Statistical Institute will also release fourth
quarter and 2022 tourism revenue data (0700 GMT).
FOREIGN ARRIVALS DATA Ministry of Culture and Tourism will announce foreign
arrivals data for December and 2022 (0800 GMT).
FOREIGN MINISTER
Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will hold talks with
Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto and will meet with
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest.
PARLIAMENT MEETINGS
The government ally Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) (0745
GMT), the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) (0945
GMT)and the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP)
(1030 GMT) will hold their regular parliamentary group meetings.
