Hungary's Dec PPI slows to 34.9% y/y vs 37.0% y/y in Nov -stats

BUDAPEST, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Hungary's industrial producer price inflation eased to an annual 34.9% in December from 37.0% in November and 41.7% in October, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Tuesday. Domestic PPI in came in at 62.9% year-on-year, driven by a significant price increase in the energy industry, as well as higher raw materials prices and the weakening of the forint, the KSH said.


In the whole of 2022, average industrial price growth was 33.7%. Prices declined in December by 0.1% from the previous month, it said. (Reporting by Krisztina Than)
