ISTANBUL, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and
events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday.
The lira traded at 18.8105 against the dollar
early on Wednesday, unchanged when compared to Tuesday's close.
The main BIST 100 share index closed 2.35% lower at
4,976.55 points on Tuesday.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asia's stockmarkets steadied on Wednesday, with signs of a
slowdown in U.S. wages bolstering hopes that the Federal Reserve
could hint at an end to interest rate hikes at its meeting later
in the day.
ERDOGAN PROGRAMME
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will speak at the weekly
parliamentary meeting of his Ak Party in Ankara (0900 GMT).
TURKEY-ESTONIA
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will hold a joint
press conference with his Estonian counterpart Urmas Reinsalu
following discussions.
OPPOSITION
Turkey's centre-right nationalist opposition IYI Party will
hold group meeting in the parliament.
ISTANBUL INFLATION
Istanbul Chamber of Commerce will announce its January
inflation calculation for Istanbul (0900 GMT).
DEBT RESTRUCTURING
Turkey's government is expecting some 100 billion lira
($5.32 billion) in payment as part of a restructuring of public
debt worth 1 trillion lira under a draft law, an impact analysis
report submitted to a parliamentary commission showed.
