LONDON, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Bank of England Governor
Andrew Bailey said it was too soon to declare victory in the
battle against high inflation and that officials would need to
be absolutely sure price pressures had turned the corner.
"We have done a lot on rates already. The full effect of
that is still to come through. But it's too soon to declare
victory just yet, inflationary pressures are still there,"
Bailey said in a speech after raising interest rates.
