MUMBAI, Feb 2 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 50.24 points, or 0.08%,
to 59,657.84, while the broader NSE index lost 52.95
points, or 0.30%, to 17,563.35, as the week-long rout in Adani
Group stocks persisted, while insurers fell on a budget tax
proposal. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee strengthened 0.01% versus the U.S.
dollar, and quoted at 81.92 per dollar, as risk assets gained
after Federal Reserve meeting, with investors keeping an eye on
equity market. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.94
rupees, with yield down 1 bps at 7.2679%, following U.S peers,
after markets read comments by Fed chair Jerome Powell as
dovish. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down
6 bps at 6.59%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 8 bps to 6.07%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was down 10 bps at
6.10% against 6.20% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 5.97%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.1387%.
