HANOI, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Vietnam's state oil company PetroVietnam is
targetting crude oil output of 10.84 million tonnes this year, steady from 2022,
the company said on Tuesday.
Gas output is also expected to stay little changed, at 8.11 billion cubic
metres, the company, formally known as Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, said in a
statement.
The Southeast Asian country's demand for crude oil is forecast to be lower
this year as both of its oil refineries are scheduled to undergo a lengthy
shutdown for maintenance in the second half of 2023.
PetroVietnam's chairman Hoang Quoc Vuong said last month the company will
this year seek to expand its exploration and production activities and speed up
its Block B Gas Project and a project to upgrade and expand its Binh Son
refinery .
