ISTANBUL, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Tuesday. The lira traded at 18.8300 against the dollar early on Tuesday, unchanged from Monday's close. The main BIST 100 share index closed 0.82% higher at 4,930.18 points on Monday. GLOBAL MARKETS Asian share markets stabilised somewhat on Tuesday after steep losses in the past 24 hours, while the U.S dollar remained elevated as investors considered the prospects interest rates would remain higher for longer in many developed economies. EARTHQUAKE Rescue teams worked early on Tuesday to release people trapped in the rubble of buildings in southern Turkey as the death toll in the country from a devastating earthquake a day earlier rose to nearly 3,000. ERDOGAN-BIDEN U.S. President Joe Biden spoke with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Monday to offer condolences and reaffirm Washington's readiness to assist in rescue efforts after a huge earthquake killed thousands across a swathe of Turkey and northwest Syria, the White House said. BOND AUCTIONS The Treasury will hold auctions for three and 10-year bonds. PARLIAMENT The government-allied nationalist MHP will hold its parliamentary group meeting (0745 GMT). Parliament Speaker Mustafa Sentop will chair a meeting of the general assembly and a vote will be held on suspending its activities for two days so that deputies can assume duties in the earthquake region (1200 GMT). CASH BALANCE The Treasury will release cash balance data for January (1430 GMT).
