MUMBAI, Feb 9 (Reuters) -
STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 20.35 points, or 0.03%,
to 60,643.44, while the broader NSE index lost 84.4
points, or 0.47%, to 17,787.3, tracking a slide in global
equities on concerns over the Fed's rate-hike trajectory, while
a drop in Adani Group stocks dragged further. RUPEE:
The Indian rupee weakened 0.14% versus the U.S. dollar,
and quoted at 82.61 per dollar, as concerns over higher interest
rates following hawkish remarks by Fed officials weighed. GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.43
rupees, with yield unchanged at 7.3436%, as market sentiment
turned bearish after the central bank's monetary policy
decision, while traders braced for more supply. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was up 2
bps at 6.80%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate rose 1 bp to 6.32%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money rate was up 35 bps at
6.75% against 6.40% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS
rate was at 6.72%, compared with the previous
day's weighted average of 6.3966%.
